Our Journey from India to Your Home

Bites and Blends was born from a simple yet profound desire to keep the essence of Indian authenticity alive in the UK, a journey that began with our founder, Pooja Wadhwa. Originally from Mumbai, Pooja moved to the UK in search of a new chapter, a home away from home. Despite exploring numerous eateries across her new city, she found herself missing the comforting, familiar tastes of home. Embracing the ethos of "चखें प्यार की मिठास, जो जगाए यादें खास," which translates to "Taste the sweetness of love that awakens special memories" Pooja turned to a cherished recipe passed down through generations—Besan Ladoo.

These homemade ladoos, a famous dessert back in India, became her initial venture, sharing the warmth and love of her kitchen with friends and family. The appreciation for the genuine goodness in each bite was overwhelming. Pooja began making these delights for every Indian festival, and soon her creations became a sensation within her community circle. As demand grew, friends urged her to make these ladoos for them too.

Realising the potential to take these "love bomb ladoos" to a wider audience, Pooja teamed up with her friend Arjun, who shared her passion for authentic food and cultural integrity. Today, Arjun is focused on strengthening the business digitally and building a strong online sales presence, while Pooja leads on sourcing and supplier relationships—carefully selecting each ingredient from its roots in India, from spices grown in remote villages to savouries that embody the true spirit of Indian cuisine.

Today, Bites and Blends is more than just a business. While both founders maintain their full-time jobs, they are committed to producing small batches of these delectable treats, focusing on distribution and corporate gifting ideas. Our goal is to bring you products that are perfect for every home and every occasion, promising to bring a smile to your face.
